Ōbaku Baisa-ryu is the Senchadō school which inherits the spirit of the tea master Baisaō and the manner of Ōbaku Zen tradition.
The tea service (o-temae) embodies our philosophy; “To cherish each other's hearts through that tea in enjoying a cup of tea more deliciously and joyfully”.
The table-and-chair installation is designed to allow all participants to relax and enjoy themselves, regardless of nationality or cultural background.
Since establishing, we have worked to promote and develop the senchadō both domestically and internationally.
In senchadō lesson, we practice “Kata (physical movements)” repeatedly.
It’s not only for making tea but also expressing our sense of beauty including the meaning of "Harmony", "Morality" and "Love".
The more we practice, the more we cultivate ourselves with an aesthetic sensibility.
We eventually find our own way to live more beautifully.
